What is Vegetarian?

Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or poultry. A few reasons for being a vegetarian are health, ecological, compassion for animals, not liking meat, religious beliefs, and more.

Why not Meat?

A vegetarian diet can be very beneficial to your health, when done properly. They are loaded with dietary fiber, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Appropriate planned veggie diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. Eating vegetarian is healthy and appropriate for anytime; during adolescence, infancy, pregnancy, and childhood. Protein deficiency is a problem most vegetarians worry about. With proper consumption of plant foods -grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, vegetables and fruits, proper amounts of protein will be ensured.
